Overcoming Anger
Anger can be both destructive and debilitating. The effects of an angry exchange can be felt in the body for up to eight hours and in relationships perhaps or many years. It will adversely affect my attitude and vision towards another person when I hold on to that past expression.
However, anger may not always be a violent reaction, sometimes it is as a protection. Nevertheless, the result can be the same – pain, regret and disempowerment.
When we begin to understanding the underlying thoughts and emotions, as well as to recognising what we are subconsciously protecting, then we are able to change our deeper feelings. Letting go of pain allows the natural healing of scars within relationships. It also enables us to regain both our peace and assertiveness.
